Bilston is bubbling with pride as it launches its first-ever Orange Chip Champion Festival - a glorious, greasy celebration of Black Country perfection. Locals are queueing round the block, cones at the ready, when disaster strikes. The chips are wrong. Horribly wrong. Batches are being sabotaged, spice mixes swapped, and frying times fiddled, leaving chips that are pale, limp and suspiciously un-orange. This is not culinary creativity - it is a deliberate attempt to put Bilston in the fryer and serve second-rate chips. DCI Chris P. Batter of the Frying Squad smells foul play and suspects an organised gang of Southern chip-chancers. Someone is clearly the big cheese-and-onion, pulling strings from behind the counter: a greasy ring leader hiding in plain sight. Now it is up to YOU to follow the clues, eliminate the innocent, and help DCI Batter catch the culprit before Bilston's crown gets burnt to a crisp!
